KOE’s Freshman Race returns better than ever! This year, the event will take place in Lahti on September 4th and in Lappeenranta on September 19th. Gather a team of 4-6 people and embark on new adventures! There will be various checkpoints around the city, and the top-performing teams will be rewarded!
This year's theme is Echoes of History, and we encourage everyone to dress according to the theme. The best-dressed group will win an amazing prize! 🎉 Please check out the detailed costume guidelines below!
The checkpoins are open from 17:00 to 22:00, followed by an after-party in Lahti at Wintti and in Lappeenranta at Giggling Marlin.
Ticket sales start on August 12th at 12:00 on Kide.App, so be ready!
This year, individual tickets will also be sold for the Freshman Race. Each team member must have their own ticket. As a KOE member, you are also entitled to a discounted ticket. The ticket includes a freshman race pass, an overall patch, and free entry to the afterparty! Ticket price for KOE members is 5€ and for non-members 7€.
NOTE! Admission to the after-party after 24:00 is 5€. Without freshmen race pass it is 5€.
The event is K-18.
All participants must dress respectfully. Please note that the event takes place in a public area in the city center, and we represent university students as a community. Outfits must respect all ethnic, racial, religious, and cultural groups. Costumes should not include elements that could offend others, such as racist, sexist, homophobic, or otherwise discriminatory symbols and references.
Considering global situations and the safety of the event area, please do not include any props resembling firearms or blades in your costume. More information on Kide.App.
